The cut off of colleges changes based on the branch, category of the applicant and the competition of the year.For computer Science engineering and Information technology the competition is more than any other branches.A good KCET score for top colleges like BMSCE, MSRIT ranges between 140 to 150 out of 180 for computer Science engineering. For RV college of engineering a rank around 1000 is required for computer Science engineering. In PES University offer good oppurtunities for students with rank 1000 to 5000.

If you have scored a 90 percentile in JEE Main and want admission to BTech at Panjab University Chandigarh, you do not need to take a separate entrance exam.
