At a very disappointing score in JEE Mains percentile, it is best to ready oneself to target those colleges in Uttar Pradesh which either offer direct admissions, or whose admission process is controlled by their self-counseling system (as in most colleges), in which admission will be secured on the basis of 12 th board marks or a college specific entrance test. Among the alternatives with rather lesser fees and wider admission standards one may mention G.L. Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management (Mathura/Greater Noida), Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIET) Greater Noida, ABES Engineering College Ghaziabad

With a JEE Main rank between 8 to 9 lakh, your chances for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs through JoSAA/CSAB are extremely low, even with reserved categories. However, you can still get into decent private and state engineering colleges—especially if you make use of state counselling, private university entrance routes, and some lower-tier institutions.

To obtain an affordable B.Tech preferably, apply to institutions that are funded by the government like, state universities and colleges since their fees are considerably cheaper than the majority of other privately owned institutions. Jadavpur University (Kolkata), Jamia Millia Islamia (New Delhi) and College of Engineering, Pune (COEP Technological University) are some of the outstanding examples that offer extremely low fees. Many NITs and GFTIs as well are quite competitive in comparison with top ranked private universities. You can it more cost effective as you explore college options in your home state that utilize the state-leve

The likely JEE Main 2026 cutoff for qualifying JEE Advanced is above 92 percentile for the general category. To gain admission to NITs or IIITs (core branches), target a score of 210–250+ marks, which corresponds to around the 99th percentile.

No, not normally in India; you can not successfully undertake a B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) degree by the old fashioned correspondence means or entirely off-list, and expect it to be accepted. The All India Council of technical education (AICTE) and even the Supreme Court of India have clearly expressed that engineering degrees demand a lot of practical as well hands-on works in labs and they cannot be properly and fully met by a distance learning delivery mode. But some universities have a special programme called, B.Tech ( Working Professional ) or Flexible Timings. They are usually aimed, at Diploma check, or employed, and often

It highly depends on your both ranks,

You must have search if you rank is lower in unreserved ranks or category ranks

If you have lower rank in category rank you must use the category rank in college prediction.

In maximum case the category ranks are much lower than you should use category rank to get the best college

Thank you

No, it is unlikely to get admission in Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women with JEE  Mains OBC rank of 259750.

The top branches like computer Science requires lower ranks.

Kindly check other colleges or lower branches
