Having the 70 percentile in JEE Main and 62% in boards, there can be no direct/clear admission to the top NITs or IITs. Nevertheless, a score within this bracket is taken into consideration by many established and good colleges which are privately owned as well as some level government institutions. Some of its alternatives are Lovely Professional University (LPU), Amity University, Chandigarh University, Galgotias University, SRM Institute of Science and Technology and KIIT University. There can also be access to some local or state based engineering colleges. This is because it is really important that they research on individual col

Techno Main Salt Lake is a good option in case of direct B.Tech admission in Kolkata that guarantees good placement and the fee is less than 5 lakhs. It provides good pay scales with an average salary of INR 7.5 LPA and an overall fee of INR 4.01 Lakhs. Other institutes that offer reasonable fees and placement are CIEM Kolkata ( approximately INR 3.66 Lakhs total fee) and BPPIMT Kolkata ( approximately INR 3.92 Lakhs total fee) though their average packages may remain a bit lower. Always ensure that one is in touch with the most up-to-date statistics of placement and the admission requirements with the colleges.

With a JEE Main OBC category rank of 66699, you have a good chance of getting into several NITs (National Institutes of Technology) and IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), as well as other government-funded technical institutes. Some NITs and IIITs may be possible, particularly for specific branches or in later rounds of counseling.

In case of 60% in 12 th and overall fee of less than 5 lakhs, visit some of the private institutes like Galgotias University and Noida Institute of engineering and technology (NIET). Although some of the B.Tech specializations in these colleges may cost more than 5 lakhs, they do come up with options (in most cases, especially in some branches that are within your means. Some other B.Tech courses are also available in this fee range in Techno India University (Kolkata) and Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology (Chennai). Make sure that you see the particular fee schedule you are wanted in engineering.

For integrated M.Sc. programs at both CET Bhubaneswar (now OUTR) and VSSUT, admission is primarily based on OJEE counseling, with JEE Main scores also considered for some seats. Candidates need to appear for both OJEE and JEE Main and then participate in the respective counseling processes. The final seat allocation is based on the merit list prepared by OJEE, considering both OJEE and JEE Main scores.

Yes, it is possible to get a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering through JOSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) or CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) in lower NITs (National Institutes of Technology). JOSAA handles the initial seat allocation for IITs, NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and other GFTIs based on JEE Main ranks. If there are any vacant seats remaining after the JoSAA rounds, CSAB conducts special rounds to fill those, also based on JEE Main scores.
