I can give you the answer of this question based on the feedback received from students who are known to me and are currently studying Civil Engineering at LPU. Besides, few colleagues of mine who have previously worked in the same Deptt. So, following are the highlights of Civil engineering in LPU: -
1. Most of the faculty staff is from reputed organizations with their the highest degree from various reputed institutes such as IITs, NITs, etc. Apart from that, faculty have got previous industrial experience also.
2. The capstone project is an integral part of B.Tech programme in which students have to pick a live project based on practical problem-based scenario (ideally from industry) and work for six months under a mentor and present a report at the end. This is beneficial to enhance your presentation skills.
3. There is an internship programme which could be an opportunity for getting work experience and increase your chance to get employment after you pass out. But, of course, your academic record should be good to get this placement option.
4. Industrial visits are organized to nearby construction sites from time to time. There, you can SEE actual construction work going on. Be prepare to have dust on your shoes (believe me, it will be worth a lot). You have to ask questions yourself and trigger interest in the activities around you.
5. You will get some courses from soft skills, English language, mental and on analytical aptitude side. This sounds dull to you as of now. But you will feel its importance when you face an interview panel in a company during your placement drives.
6. They have very good placement records and good infrastructure companies visit their campus, L & T, Simplex Piles Ltd, Era Infrastructure, Gammon India Ltd to name a few.
7. Career oriented Software training in project labs is given. To work in this profession, you are supposed to be familiar with software like MS-Project, STAAD Pro, MX Road, etc. None the less, you will be trained in Auto CAD in your second year which is pre requisite for any Civil Engineer.
8. Every theory course is complemented with relevant lab based practical work. Some of the labs are based on field testing where experimental work is to be done, e. g. Soil Lab & Surveying Lab.

CSE is one of the branches in LPU having wonderful placements. Most of students get placed in reputed companies with few opting for higher studies. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. Professors are easily approachable in the college and are well experienced. They are very supportive of all technicalities. Students can contact them anytime for their study purpose. The latest teaching methods are used in the classroom. Curriculum in CSE branch is very well designed such that they can learn everything from basics to the in-depth knowledge of their field. The College takes them for the industrial visit for more growth and experience. specialisation can be offered in (I) Thermal and Propulsion, (ii) Aerodynamics and Flight Mechanics and (iii) Structures and Design etc. Primary Focus:-
A degree in aerospace engineering cover both: (I) aircraft that stay within the earth's atmosphere such as airplanes and helicopters. (ii) Aircraft that operate outside of the earth's atmosphere such as rockets, satellites, and other spacecraft. Does not cover much on Policy frameworks for airports, Design of Airdromes etc. Facts:- IIT Bombay, IIT Kharapur, IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras offer B.Tech and B.Tech-M.Tech (Integrated) programmes in Aerospace engineering. Job Prospect : - Aerospace engineering may lead to jobs with space research organizations like NASA and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) or with large aviation companies like Boeing and Airbus. Besides them DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation), CAD (Civil Aviation Department), NAL (National Aeronautics Ltd) and HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited) also employ aerospace engineers. In Lovely Professional University B.Tech. Aerospace Engineering programme is offered to students. Placement Record of last year is 12 LPA with 4.8 LPA is the average salary package of the batch. 90% students got placed till date for the batch.

Aerospace engineering is the primary field of engineering concerned with the development of aircraft and spacecraft. It has two major and overlapping branches: aeronautical engineering and astronautical engineering. Aerospace is one of the various fields studied in LPU. The Mechanical Department has highly experienced and qualified staff pursuing their research in thrust areas such as CAD/CAM, Mechanical design, Thermal engineering, Fluid dynamics, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool design, and Flexible Manufacturing Systems/Automation. The department has to its credit more than 48 research publications in International, National Journals including prestigious ASME Transactions, International Conference and National Conference.
