This is because the basic eligibility for joining NDA is passing of 12th standard and I am sure that you must have done if you are in the first year of engineering. UPSC has just published advertisement for conducting entrance exam for those students who wish to join NDA. Please go through this advertisement to know different eligibility conditions particularly about minimum and maximum age prescribed for this and if there is any minimum percentage of marks prescribed for 12th.
