In addition, these engineers test prototypes to make sure that they function according to plans. The highest package offered was 31LPA by Code Nation. Aerospace engineering has the worst placement records. Only 5-10 people have got placements from college and more than 5 were placed in IT jobs. The highest package offered maybe of 7 lacs as far as I know. Not more than 20 percent got internships from the college last year.

A student has an Automobile club under Society of Automobiles India, Under which the teams have participated in various competitions by making their vehicle in Supra SAE (Student Formula CAR), Baja SAE India, BAJA SAE USA, Efficycle (LPU Hosted the SAE Efficycle event in Oct-2015. Organized International Go-Kart Championship which is a student-initiated automotive event the first international event of its kind receiving participation from all over ASIA. The Mechanical Department has highly experienced and qualified staff pursuing their research in thrust areas such as CAD/CAM, Mechanical design, Thermal engineering, Fluid dynamics, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool design, and Flexible Manufacturing Systems/Automation. The department has to its credit more than 48 research publications in International, National Journals including prestigious ASME Transactions, International Conference and National Conference. Aerospace is a specialised branch of engineering which deals with the design and development of aircraft's as well as space crafts The course curriculum covers aspects of two branches of engineering - Aeronautical and Astronautical engineering. Aerospace engineering focuses on designing both aircraft and spacecraft and it is a study of all the space crafts used within and out of the earth's atmosphere while Aeronautical Engineering is the study of aircraft that operates within the earth's atmosphere. Being an alumni I want to share my thoughts on this as my sister has done the same course from LPU itself. Aerospace is a specialised branch of engineering which deals with the skills and knowledge to design, manufacture and maintain spacecrafts, aircrafts, missiles and weapons systems. The course curriculum covers aspects of two branches of engineering - aeronautical and astronautically engineering. The course also focuses on new technologies in aviation, defence systems, and space exploration. It also includes aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, materials Science, structural analysis and manufacturing. PLACEMENTS:
Companies like Every year more than 550 companies visit LPU for placement purposes. Companies like Ashok Leyland, Bosch, and Siemens Home Appliances, Volkswagon, Unominda, Voltas, Anglo-Eastern Ship Mgt. , Asahi India, Rockman (Hero group), Dharam Consulting, Samundra, Indo-MIM, Sandhar Technologies, JK Lakshmi Cement, Maruti, Lava, XL Dynamics, Asahi India, Cleanmax Solar, Elgi Equipments, VA tech Wabag, Thermax, Bristlecone, Tex Fasteners, GigaSolar, Westline Shipping, Raam Group, Nylocore Transmissions. First batch started in 2016 with class of 27 students, out of which 19 has registered for placements and 8 students decided to go for higher studies. Out of 19 students, 13 are placed (70% Placed) and still there are many placement drives to happen till the month of July to secure more than 100% Placement by offering dual offer letters to some students. (Also, provides on job training and internships with the same mentioned companies).
