No absolutely not required. Once you have passed your 12th standard from CBSE that is good enough for or appearing for JEE Advanced. However, a student can not appear to advance directly. The student needs first to clear JEE Mains and octane marks more than cutoff specified then only the student can appear for JEE Advanced.
