96.07 percentile in JEE Mains is a good score but it's hard to get computer Science in top NITs. You might get it in smaller NITs. You can also try for other branches like ECE, etc.

Yes it is likely that you get a seat in NIT pondicherry in Computer Science engineering with the rank of 5000 in OBC category.

But also depends on the cutoff of the particular year kindly wait for the 2,3 cutoff lists.

Thank you

In Tamil Nadu, part-time engineering programs are available mostly through government or aided colleges, specifically for working professionals. Some of the major colleges offering qualifications in part-time modes are:

Anna University (CEG Campus): Part-time B.E. programs.

Government College of Technology, Coimbatore

As you have a JEE Main SC category rank of 13,999, you may have a possibility in new NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs or the branches Civil, Mechanical, or Metallurgy in NIT Sikkim, NIT Mizoram, or IIITs which have lower cut-offs. Seat availability, depending on your home state quota, branch preference, and whether it is the first or second round of counseling, will dictate your home state minority SC/General.

With a JEE rank of 73,000 you can expect to get admission in newer NITs, such as NIT Mizoram, NIT Meghlalaya, NIT Nagaland, or NIT Sikkim, mostly under Home State or reserved category quota.  The branches you may expect are Civil, Chemical, Metallurgical, or the lower demand core branches.  Your chances of admission will improve if you come under OBC, SC, ST or female quota.

With the AIR 278990 in JEE Mains you cannot get NIT if you don't have any additional reservation.

You can look for some private engineering colleges.

  • VIT University (Vellore Institute of Technology)
  • SRM Institute of Science and Technology
  • Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology
  • Amity University
  • Lovely Professional University
  • Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (SOA) University

Thankyou

Yes, You are more likely to get an admission with this score. Your chances of getting an admission depends on the institute you are applying. You can apply for government colleges which provide specialisation with artificial intelligence and machine learning. Admission in private colleges are more easier to get.
