According to UGC norms, the stipend is given to every student who has QUALIFIED Gate exam irrespective of from where you are pursuing it -IIT, NIT, Govt, Non-govt, semi-govt college, etc- doesn't matter. If you are gate qualified, you are eligible for stipend from every college having M.TECH course. So you will get the stipend.

As per the SPSU Prospectus the admission in M.Tech courses are done through the SPSAT entrance exam. Hence the GATE stipend is not applicable here.

An amount of INR 12,400 per month (approximately) is provided to GATE qualified M.Tech students. Candidates with a valid GATE Score can avail the benefit of GATE financial assistant ship/ scholarship.

Hello youngman, For getting admission into highly advanced B.Tech programme, you need to pass 10+2 with atleast 60% aggregate marks for one of the best colleges in India. If you still want to enter into any of the engineering fields just after 10th, go in for Diploma. The three year Diploma can lead you to either get a job or you can go into the lateral entry programme of B.Tech in your field. The choice is yours. All the very best for your future.

Yes, you will get. As per the the AICTE norms, Any student who qualify the GATE will get Rs 12,400 as stipend per month.

Your expected JEE Main AIR is about 159121. You have not write about the home state you belongs. However if you belongs to Himachal than the last year closing ranks in CSE and ECE at NIT Hamirpur were 82543 and 151686 respectively in asked category. So your chances of admission in asked branches are moderate. However your chances for Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Chemical are high.
