Definitely, mechanical being an applied branch is better. CSC is a tool training so you need value addition after B.Tech.

For civil engineering, VIT is good in terms of placement, but if you want to choose SRM it is also having a good academic exposure and nice teaching environment.

Manufacturing sector is improving day by day and so is the future of this branch. India is focusing on manufacturing sector a lot. There are many colleges in Chennai that provide manufacturing courses but the dedicated college is IIITDM Kanchipuram. You can also go for private colleges like VIT, SRM, etc. MIT Madras also provides this course.

You should select the option of undergraduate.

Board cutoff varies each year. It won't remain the same. But it would be around 346k. It may decrease as well.

There is no B.E in Jamia Millia Islamia.
