Hi,I really can't comment on this topic because both have their own merits and demerits. Going by what you are looking for I think you should join the Merchant Navy because of the luxurious kind of lifestyle you want. Merchant Navy offers you a really good salary. Merchant Navy is to carry goods from one country to another. Taking part in merchant navy is easier than in Indian navy and also we can earn more money in merchant navy. The merchant navy is a civilian career and therefore less restrictive. Your percentile is 82. It means 82% student of the total student appeared for the exam are behind you. Therefore, 18% students of the total students appeared for the exam are ahead of you, therefore your calculated rank is 157404.
Your Rank would change Either Your Percentile Score is Increases in the next attempt or Number of Student increases in the Next attempt, If the Number of Student Increases to 1400000 and Your percentile remain same then Your New rank would be 252000
As per Your current Performance you may be eligible for JEE Advance But the final cutoff will be released once the JEE Main April gets Over.
