Dear Shailesh , Lateral Entry admission into Engineering is based on your Diploma Program , Whichever the Diploma you did in your Diploma . You will get the admission in Engineering Program through Lateral Entry entrance test which will be conducted by the university, once if you qualify in the entrance test, you will get admission in the university. It's not possible with that percentile to get admission in any of the NITs. I would suggest you go with private institutes.

You have good chances of getting a seat at SASTRA University. However, the branch which you can get is difficult to say since, the competition is very high. Hence, you may try your best at the counseling to get the branch you wish for.
