No, you cannot because English is the langauge of instructions in the majority of the universities in Canada. Therefore international students are required to demonstrate their proficiency in the English language. For non-native English speakers, an overall Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score (between 90-100) is required. International students can also submit other English proficiency test scores to prove their proficiency in the English language such as IELTS, PTE, and Duolingo.

Strathclyde University accepts a number of English language tests as proof of proficiency in English. Below we have given the list of English exams accepted by the University of Strathclyde along with their standard score requirements.
- IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (no individual band less than 5.5)
- Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic (UKVI or non-UKVI): 60 overall, with a minimum of 59 in each component
- TOEFL (ibt): 73 overall, with the following minimum scores in each component: Listening: 17 Reading: 18 Speaking: 20 Writing: 18

To be eligible for admission, all international applicants, regardless of citizenship, must show their proficiency in English by the following ways:
The student should be a citizen of an English speaking country and where the language of instruction is the same.
If the student has completed one year of full-time study in a four-year US college or university degree programme, then they are not required to submit TOEFL scores.
