University of Copenhagen takes students from all around the world, but not all the programs offered are taught in English. UG courses are only taught in Danish, so the International students must take the exam of Studieprøven i dansk, and prove the native level of this language.
Most of the PG programs are taught in English, so the International students have to prove their English proficiency by taking TOEFL/IELTS or Cambridge English test.

Portland Community does not require English proficiency test scores as it offers an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program which is offered to non-native English speakers. Students may turn in the following exam results if they choose not to enroll in the ESOL program:
- TOEFL iBT- score 61 or higher
- IELTS (Academic)- score 5.5 or higher
- DUOLINGO- score 95 or higher (no sub-score lower than 75)
- GTEC- score 1076 or higher
- EIKEN-1 or higher
- iTEP (Academic)- score 4.0 or higher
- Pearson PTE- score 45 or higher
- Trinity College London ISE II- pass Integrated Skills in English (ISE) II or higher
- Michigan English Test (MET)- score 5

The application fee for the BA in English course at the Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) under Pondicherry University is INR 200 for the general category candidates, INR 125 for SC/ST candidates.
There is no fee applicable for differently abled candidates.
