MA English or Master of Arts in English is a 2-year post-graduate course in English & literature studies. The degree is awarded after successful completion of a two years programme or course that includes a comprehensive study of both ancient and modern English Literature comprising poetry, prose, and fiction. The course also includes a thorough study of Indian Writings in English Literature from its very early times to the contemporary ones. After passing the course they have many career options in educational and other fields.ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Aspirants seeking admission to 2 year Full-time M.A. Programme should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute. Candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 48 credits in a Major subject, 48 credits in two minor subjects, 9 credits in compulsory, 1 credit in GI & hobby with an aggregate of 106 credits for the award of the pass degree. Or
Candidate should have at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC. ST. ) from a university established by law in India.

Bachelor of Education B.Ed English is a 2 to 4 year degree course that is primarily focused on training students to become teachers in schools. The Bachelor of Education degree is aimed to prepare students in their endeavour towards becoming teachers in secondary schools. This course can be taken by aspiring students after their 12 graduation from any stream or any other equivalent examination from a recognised board of education. Candidates must have at least 50 for General Category candidates and 45 for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates. For admission into most B.Ed Colleges, interested students need to pass the particular University Entrance exams or a national level entrance exam that is conducted throughout the country. Different entrance exams in both country-level and state-level are conducted for admissions to the course.
