The minimum eligibility criterion required for the candidates is to possess a Bachelor's degree in English or relevant discipline from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate score of 60%

Hello sir
I am pleased to have connected with you. There are two options in school teaching, Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Post-graduate Teacher (PGT). TGT means a teacher teaching from classes 6 to 10. PGT usually teaches classes 11 and 12. There is also PRT (primary teacher) who teaches till class 5. Now, for TGT you need English Hons and B.Ed. For PGT you need English Hons plus M.A. In English and B.Ed. It is not necessary that if you have M.A. You will only be offered PGT. In the beginning, you may be offered TGT, even if you are overqualified.
