For which university are you planning to go fir MA in English. However, you can start your preparation by reading History of English language from any good author. Start reading from the very beginning and make notes of your own. It will surely help you. There is not particular syllabus. However you must know about Shakespeare, Bacon, Shelley, Keats, Jane Austin and as many popular authors as well. I hope this help. God bless you.
