Admission review of St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi, Jharkhand
Placements: Placement scenario in our college is quite unclear especially for students in the English Department. There does not seem to be a well structured or active placement cell specifically catering to our department. No official communication is made and students are left to figure things out on their own.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college is quite good. Classrooms are spacious well ventilated and equipped with necessary facilities for comfortable learning. The campus has Wi-Fi connectivity. There is a computer lab and a library. Overall, the campus is clean and student-friendly.
Faculty: Faculty members in the English Department are well-qualified and have strong subject knowledge. Semester exams are moderately difficult and mostly theory-based, with a 40% pass mark. The curriculum is academically sound but not very industry-focused, so it does not fully prepare students for the job market.

It is one of the best colleges in Jharkhand for graduation.
Placements: Placements are really top-notch in the college. The average package is 50 LPA. The college prepares students for the outside world, and most of students get placed. Many good companies come for hiring, and there are even a lot of opportunities for internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college provides a better environment for students. There is a lot of space for sports as well. There are different kinds of labs for different subjects. All classrooms have smart boards and traditional boards as well. There is hostel facility for boys inside the campus as well.
Faculty: Professors are really helpful and are really good at their job. The teaching quality is quite good. The curriculum is relevant and does make students industry-ready. The semester exams are not that tough because concepts are really clear. Very few students fail in exams.
Other: I chose English Honours because I am really interested in studying Literature. The best thing about the course is that I get to read many interesting novels.

Good infrastructure and helpful faculty.
Placements: None of them from my batch got placement but 5-6 people got internships and admission to good colleges. Most of them are pursuing post-graduation and Masters now. Seminars and cultural fests are part of our college life. No such top roles are offered to anyone.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are average, and not that good for graduation departments. The library was available for all students. No Wi-Fi service is available. 3 canteens are on the campus, and 2 of them are good in infrastructure, and hygiene was also good. Sports meet happen in 2-3 months.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. Exams are medium to tough. The curriculum is relevant for many exams and for future courses. Monthly tests and viva, etc., made students understand the syllabus more easily. Teaching quality is good, and 75% attendance is a must.
Other: Fests were organized well, and extracurricular activities took place in 2-3 months. Blood donation camps, NCC, and NSS work so well in college.

It is the best college for placements.
Placements: Placement cell is good in our college. Many companies visit our college for recruitment. HCL, TCS, Wipro, etc., are the top recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good in our college. Classrooms are good and our campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Laboratories and library are also available. Hostel facilities are provided in our college. The food served in the mess is good. Canteen is also good. Medical facilities are available. All sports and games are provided in our college.
Faculty: Faculty members are excellent in their subjects. They always clear students' doubts. Classes are conducted as per schedule. Semester exams are not hard if you attend classes regularly. Exams are held semester-wise, and there are two exams in each semester. Mid-semester and end-semester exams are compulsory in our college.
Other: All types of events, fests, and social activities are conducted in our college. Scholarships are also provided to merit students. Our campus life is good.

I am satisfied with facilities that our college provides.
Placements: The number of students placed is quite low, Kanchi Radio, Wipro, and Amazon are some of the companies that offer internships or training to students. Around 10-20% of students get placements in those companies. There are many more companies that place students from this college.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are nice, neat, and clean. Campus and classrooms are cleaned regularly. The non-teaching staff members are polite and cooperative. Wi-Fi is a bit slow but labs and libraries are well maintained. Hostels are only for boys. Infrastructure is also well maintained.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good, polite, and cooperative. They help students whenever they need them. Exams are taken on time or as scheduled. Semester examinations are neither too difficult nor too easy. If relevant answers are written then there is no difficulty in passing the exams.

It has a great infrastructure and good studies.
Placements: There is no particular placement cell for arts. But it is there for commerce and science. Companies like TCS visit the campus to recruit students.
Infrastructure: Our college has good infrastructure and canteens. The library is also good. Wi-Fi is not available but I found labs quite good. Hostels are for boys only. But there are many hostels available for them nearby. College hostels are dingy.
Faculty: Teachers are all helpful and knowledgeable. They help you and support you if you want their help. They all are well qualified expect a few of them. Overall I will say for our course, teachers are very good and great. I like our course and syllabus and for exams, you need to push yourself hard. It is a bit difficult here.

Faculty members, campus life and education quality, are good.
Placements: I opted for a non-technical course. There is no option for placements, but we learnt a lot and will definitely use it in future goals. Top courses offered here are B.Com, BBA and all other courses. This college is mostly famous for commerce.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are good. You would definitely have comfortable classrooms and an amazing campus experience here. We have amazing canteens with all kinds of options available from Indian to Italian to continental and everything. We have Amul cafe and xerox place as well.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, and the teaching quality is very good. They are very helpful in all aspects. They make sure students understand the subject well before preparing for examinations. They would also be helpful in counselling and setting your future goals.

There are really good infrastructure and facilities here.
Placements: TCS, Wipro, Reliance, Genpact and many such companies offered placements for final year students. But out of hundred students, only a few students could get placements. Indigo also visited here in the previous year, but this year the placement rate is up to 5% only. Besides this, students were offered the role of customer support and product support.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is nice or awesome here. But sometimes you may feel like there is limited space for such a huge number of students because of the huge buildings situated near the main stage. However, there is enough space to accommodate all the students together, and even a lot of space is left besides the stage. The buildings are quite old like of the British era period, which is a common feature for all Xavier's buildings. Classrooms are spacious, and there is enough space to roam, sit and enjoy your time. The hostel facility is surely available, but only for the boys. The campus provides free Wi-Fi, but you will get it only if you know the password. There is a total of 4 canteens, and they all are of different types. One canteen is air-conditioned, while one canteen is entirely like a street food area, but the food served in it is nice and hygienic. The best one is Green Chillies and then Hot and Cold. There is one Amul parlour where you can also get some light snacks. The last one is perfect for enjoying food with nature as it is an open food centre. Overall, it is nice.
Faculty: As being in the Department of B.A Hons English language and literature, it was awesome. The interesting part was that all the teachers were female. Some of them had studied from the same college. The course curriculum was perfect. Even every year, we got a chance to review our own course curriculum to help the college to make it more relevant. Besides this, the teachers were very knowledgeable and very helpful. Not only in classes, but they all were like friends outside the classroom also.
Other: The best thing about vocational courses is that they make you industry-ready. I think that a regular degree is not good in the present competitive world. You need to improve your skills properly so that you can cope up with the growing industry, and you can grow with the needs of today's world. Overall, the course was good, and the campus life was perfectly enjoyable. College fests were the best things. NCC and NSS were also available here. Besides this, a lot of extra activities and sports like basketball, badminton, kabaddi, cricket, etc., are conducted. Our college also provides scholarships to reserved students.
