- A gerund (noun)
- A participle (adjective)
- Part of a continuous tense
Examples:
Cooking is relaxing. (Gerund)

Several English proficiency exams are accepted for admission to the Regent International Educational Group:
A minimum score of 90 on the TOEFL iBT.
IELTS: 7.0 is the minimal score.
PTE Academic: 61 is the minimal score.
A minimum score of 115 on the Duolingo English test is required.
Two years following the test date, these results are still valid. In some cases, such as when they have degrees from English-speaking universities, applicants may ask to have the mandatory English language competency test waived.

It depends on the university or the course in question but to meet the 75 % eligibility for most colleges one needs; In general, for PCM together with English and painting, English is taken as one subject while painting may be disregarded in some cases for sciences and engineers. However, always consider checking other official eligibilities of the institution or course applied to because they defer with the general ones depending on the program.
