The eligibility criteria of IISc BS 2018 include eligibility requirements related to the qualifying examination (12th/II PUC) and eligibility criteria related to selection based on channels like JEE Main, JEE Advanced and KVPY. It must be noted that candidates have to meet both the eligibility criteria in order to be considered for Bachelor of Science (Research).
IISc BS 2018 Common Eligibility Criteria for all candidates:
*Candidates must have passed II PUC/12th class in 2017 or appearing in 2018 are eligible to apply.
*Candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects in the qualifying exam.
*Candidates must have studied Biology, Electronics, Statistics, Computer Science, etc., along with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are also eligible.
*With the subject combination mentioned above, candidates need to have secured first class or 60% or equivalent grade are eligible.
*SC/ST candidates are given relaxation in pass percentage. They only need to pass II PUC/12th class in order to be considered eligible for admission.
