WUR has been highly ranked for Environmental Sciences as per QS subject rankings 2025. For this course, this university ranks at #3. In 2024, this university was placed at #2 position. Though the position has seen a slight decline, it still ranks among the Top 10 Universities for Environmental Sciences courses.

The eligibility criteria for UGC NET Environmental Science include having a master's degree or equivalent in Environmental Science or related subjects with at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for candidates belonging to reserved categories). Candidates who are in the final year of their master's programme or waiting for the result can also apply.
