Yes, you can get direct admission to BTech at Er. Perumal Manimekalai College of Engineering without participating in TNEA. To be eligible for admission to the course, the candidate has to score a minimum of 45% aggregate in Class 12th in a relevant stream from any recognised institute. Although admissions are done based on scores obtained in the TNEA counseling, some seats are reserved for direct admission under the management quota.

TNEA 2023 cutoff ranks B.E./B.Tech Perumal Manimekalai College of Engineering are different for various disciplines and categories. For General Category Closing Ranks were Computer Science & Engineering – 75,262, Information Technology – 99,578, Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciences 65,610; Electronics and Communication Engineering-95,108; Aeronautical Engineering 154,277 and Civil Engineering– 163,325. For OBC and SC cutoffs were little higher. However these numbers are only based on TNEA counselling data and they can differ every year.

Usually, for B.E./B-Tech programs candidates are selected on the basis of counseling in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA )which is determined by their marks in 10+2 (PCM). Minimum aggregate 45% for general category students and around 40% for the reserved categories. The college also has direct admissions in Management quota.
