Yes some event companies do hire freshers from any background and stream as interns. If you do well, they might hire you as an employee. Event management as a field does not really require education related to events. It is all about interest and capabilities.

You can check Algonquin college, Thompson Rivers University, British Columbia Institute of Technology, Ryerson University, University of Fraser Valley etc. Visit the websites for details like co-op programs, industrial tie-ups, etc.
