For you kind information, there are many event management companies in all over India. Most of the owners or the person who runs it neither haven't gone to IIM nor done MBA.
So, I don't think MBA is an essential thing.
But, if you want to do MBA from IIM then go for it. It will obviously help you a lot in your business.
But, if an event management company is the one which matters the most then I would suggest you to do a Diploma or certificate course in event management, get to know about it and start a company. The money can be saved and invested also.

You might have done a Diploma through Polytechnic which is equivalent to XII and will lead to a degree eligibility, because, for mass communication or media related courses, the XII background does not matter. If you have completed class 12th then it becomes easier for you to pursue UG.

I shall not be able to suggest the college, but can share about the utility of Event Management. Alike other Mass Communication domains, this is also an important specialization and has a lot of scope in the coming years. There are Event Management agencies who hire people for PR and Event Management professional work.

It is a good college to kick start your career in event management. The faculty is good and co-operative. The college stands above all the event institutes because of the vast experience of the college. The number of events you get to do here I promise you won't get anywhere in India.
