Yes, you could appear for the JEE entrance test and apply to NITs, provided you have completed the 12th standard through the Assam State Open Schooling and your qualification is recognised by the authorities. Normally, a candidate should have completed the 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and scored more than 75% (or be among the top 20 percentile in the board examination). It is advised to ascertain JBIC officials about the board's recognition status if you are to be considered an eligible candidate.

With a JEE Mains EWS rank of 47700, you can likely get admission to several NITs for less popular branches like Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or Instrumentation, as well as various state-level engineering colleges across India for core branches like CSE, Mechanical, or Electrical depending on the specific college cutoffs; however, top NITs for popular branches like CSE might be out of reach at this rank.

Possible colleges to consider:

NITs with lower cut-offs:

NIT Manipur, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Agartala, NIT Mizoram, NIT Patna (certain branches), NIT Srinagar (certain branches)

If you have PCB and maths and are looking for top B.Tech CSE colleges in Mumbai without an entrance exam, your options are limited, as most reputed colleges in Mumbai usually require competitive entrance exams like JEE Mains; however, a few private universities might offer admission based on merit alone, such as: Amity University Mumbai, K.R Mangalam University, and Jadavpur University Mumbai Campus; always check the specific admission criteria for each college before applying as policies can change.

With your JEE Mains percentile and OBC rank, you can consider colleges like some NITs (National Institutes of Technology), a few IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), and several state-level engineering colleges depending on your preferred branch and location; some options include NIT Patna, NIT Manipur, IIIT Kottayam, IIIT Tiruchirappalli, and the Government Engineering College, Gandhinagar.

With a CRL rank of 159865 and an OBC rank of 53541, you are unlikely to get admission into a top NIT for a popular branch, but you might be able to secure a seat in a newer NIT for a less preferred branch using your OBC category rank; it's best to check the closing ranks of different NITs and branches on the JoSAA website to see your chances

  • First of you congrats for scoring that percentile The final CAT cut off percentile is usually around 90-95 percentile, so you can take admission in IIM KozhikodeThe minimum CAT cut-off for IIM Kozhikode is 85 percentile for general category candidates. The cut-off is lower for other categories: 75 percentile for NC-OBC/EWS, 65 percentile for SC, and 55 percentile for ST/PwD candidates. So I suggest to apply for all IIMS. I will hope that u will get the IIM u wish

Minimum TOEFL score represents the lowest required score for a successful admission process. The US, UK, and Canada are known for their high academic standards and top-ranked universities. Achieving a TOEFL iBT minimum score does not guarantee your admission, always target a higher score range. Universities do not mention their TOEFL minimum score requirements. Each university sets its requirements based on factors like academic ranking, and the language demands of specific programs. A minimum TOEFL score for top-ranked universities ranges from 90-100. If you are applying for TOEFL Grants and Awards, you need to achieve a minimum of 84
