If you match the qualifying requirements, you can take the JEE Mains in 2026 after finishing your NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) exams. Your eligibility won't be impacted by the difference between your Class 10 and Class 12 grades as long you meet these requirements
Year of Passing: After passing Class 12 (or its equivalent), candidates are eligible to take the JEE Mains exam for the next two years. You can take JEE in 2026, 2027 and 2028 since you want to finish NIOS by 2026.
Subject Requirements: Since physics, chemistry and mathematics are required for JEE make sure they are covered in your NIOS curriculum.

It is improbable that core branches like computer science, electronics or mechanical engineering will be admitted to NIT Kurukshetra with an EWS rank of 34,488 in JEE Mains. Popular subjects like Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) usually have closing ranks for the EWS category that fall between 1,444 (Home State) and 879 (Other State). Even while less difficult fields like civil engineering or production and industrial engineering may have greater closing ranks, EWS candidates typically find these to be below 10,000.

It is not feasible to enrol in IIT Madras' B.Tech. + M.Tech. (Dual Degree) program in Computer Science and Engineering without sitting the JEE Mains test through regular admissions. JEE Advanced is the main exam used by IIT Madras to enrol candidates in undergraduate programs; JEE Mains qualification is required for this exam.
Nevertheless, other routes consist of:
International Admissions: SAT scores or the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) program are the two ways that foreign nationals, or NRIs, can apply.
Data Science Bachelor's Program: IIT Madras provides an online data science bachelor program that may lead to postgraduate

Admission to Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur's Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) programme is extremely competitive, with a JEE Main rank of 5228. In 2024, MNIT Jaipur's CSE closing rank for the General category under the open quota was roughly 4774. However because the cutoffs differ greatly by category your prospects may rise if you fall into a reserved category (such as EWS, OBC, SC or ST). For example the closing rank for EWS was around 883 and the OBC category was 1989. You could look into other prestigious NITs or institutions where your rank corresponds with their cutoffs if MNIT Jaipur is not an opt

The Odisha CHSE Board allows improvement exams (referred to as "instant exams") only for students who have passed overall (with at least 210 marks) but failed in one compulsory or elective subject. It is not permitted to take improvement exams for all subjects. Students must apply for the specific failed subject, and candidates involved in malpractice are not eligible for this opportunity.
