If you are an IIT graduate with a BTech degree in Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics and Communication Engineering and have an overall CGPA of 8 and above or more than 75% marks, you can get direct admission for M.Tech Communications Engineering.
Not all IITs offer this exemption so you need to check at their official website to confirm the same. IIT Delhi does offer this option to IIT graduates. Having said that, rest of the candidates must have a valid GATE score for admission to M.Tech Communications Engineering at the top IITs in India.

In order to secure admission to M.Tech in Communications Engineering course at the IITs, you must meet the minimum eligibility requirements. You should have at least 60% marks in your bachelor's degree in a relevant field. For reserved category candidates, the marks eligibility requirement is usually relaxed by 5%. Further, you have to appear for the GATE exam. You must secure a good rank in the entrance exam as it plays the most important role in the admission process.
After you successfully secure a decent rank in GATE, you will have to appear for the COAP counselling process where you will be allotted a seat according to your rank at
