M.Tech Communications Engineering

In order to secure admission to M.Tech in Communications Engineering course at the IITs, you must meet the minimum eligibility requirements. You should have at least 60% marks in your bachelor's degree in a relevant field. For reserved category candidates, the marks eligibility requirement is usually relaxed by 5%. Further, you have to appear for the GATE exam. You must secure a good rank in the entrance exam as it plays the most important role in the admission process.

After you successfully secure a decent rank in GATE, you will have to appear for the COAP counselling process where you will be allotted a seat according to your rank at one of the IIT branches in India. Often, there is also a written test or interview round after the GATE results are announced. Interestingly, if you are an IIT BTech graduate with a CGPA of 8 or above, you need not give the entrance test and are eligible for direct admission to the course.
