The CSIR NET is a specifically held test on the subject of sciences along with Mathematical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences and Physical Sciences. UGC NET on the other hand is principally subjects on Humanities, Social Sciences, Languages, Commerce and other non-science subjects and are targeted to be eligible as Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship in the respective subjects.

NTSE NCERT temporarily discontinued the scheme and no official NTSE exam was conducted in 2024 at all levels (including Hyderabad) by NCERT. A certain examination date of some states was tentative or delayed. But there were debates and chances that the plan would restart in 2025 and may still serve students who have missed out. It is also important to check the updated and correct information available through an official NCERT site on the condition of the scheme of NTSE.

In case you crack BITSAT 2025 and get an offer of Admission to CSE then, in most cases, you are offered admission of the running year (2025-26). The policy of deferring the admission to the next academic year in BITS Pilani is normally absent. In case you rebuff the offer then you would have to re-take the BITSAT exam in 2026 and redo the admission process. The policies on deferrals are always pegged on the official BITS admission bulletin, which is revised regularly.
