Hello. The cutoff for admission to MBA programme 2016 is composite score of 35.091 for SC category candidates. The Composite Score has been computed by giving weightage of 40%, 30%, and 30% to the scores of VRC, DI/LR, and QA Sections respectively as provided by the CAT Centre for the CAT 2015 Examination for candidates who registered with FMS. For example: Composite Score = ?(Score in Section * Weightage)/Max Marks for the Section

Hello Mohit,
Most of the premier bschools give weightage to your past academic scores. Thus, you might face a problem in getting a shortlist from some of the premier Bschools. Talking about FMS, weightage is not given to past academic scores and hence if you score a good percentile you will have a good chance to get a shortlist from FMS.

Hello,
There are many websites which provide clear details about the B-schools like https://shiksha.com, MBA universe, etc. Moreover, respective college websites also contains information regarding culture, placements and academics. To further have an idea you can try and contact people from other colleges either through https://shiksha.com or through Facebook and ask them about their respective colleges.

The cost of mba studies is very nominal in fms in comparison to other colleges. Dont think about how much good or bad you are in studies. Concentrate and prepare cat. You need a score above 92-93 percentile and u also hv to score well in ca/gd/wat round as well as in personal interview round. All the best. Thank you.

Hello Neeraj, In order to get admission in FMS, you will have to give CAT exam. On the basis of the percentile you score in CAT, you will be called for the further rounds which are extempore and PI. A cumulative merit list is prepared on the basis of your marks in these 3 things and final admissions are offered to those who qualify. Also, your percentage is graduation has no such link to secure admission in FMS. You should meet the eligibility criteria and the required cutoff. All the best.

Hello Ayushi,
FMS is consistently ranked amongst the top 5 Bschools across the country by many newspapers and magazines. In the rest, its ranked amongst the top 10. It might not be there in one or two places because of some other unknown reasons.

Hello Harsh,
In order to take admission in a top rank MBA college, I would suggest you to give CAT, as almost all the premier Bschools offer admission on the basis of your CAT score. Other exams like XAT, NMAT, IIFT, SNAP should also be considered. These should be your first priority. You can also give CMAT and MAT but they don't cover many top rank MBA colleges.

Hello Mishika,
To get admission into FMS you will have to give only CAT exam. Admissions are not offered on the basis of MAT.
For MAT, there are other colleges which offer admission. You can check that on the internet. I am not the best person to answer about the MAT affiliated colleges.

Hello Daksh,
Yes you can definitely get admission in FMS. But for it you will have to give CAT exam and score a percentile good enough to meet the cutoff. You can join any institute like Time for your preparations. All the best.
