Actually there is not a prescribed syllabus for FTII entrance. You should have a basic knowledge about what's happening around you.
1.Newspapers and Magazines
2. Art forms, folklore their origins.
3. Articles on films
4. CBSE textbooks on social sciences , chapters on cultural heritage.
5. Keep updated on National Awards,Oscars.
6. There must be some films or filmmakers about whom you can go on writing. Your favourite movie is a definite question .
7. Form a personal opinion on films.

Dear Rutvik,
Film making is a good course too, you can take up as a full time option, but also think of taking up a photography course. Or you can pursue Masters in Mass Communication, so that options such as operations, production, photography and much more opens for you in these channels.

Dear Pranav, You may go to either countries as both are the places for your courses. If you are looking at Los Angeles or New York you would have more options to choose from in USA than in Canada. Both the counytries would be value for money & as Canadian dollar is almost 19 rupees lesser, I am sure would be a little more cost effective than USA.
