The courses can never provide you with enough knowledge on the editing software. Powerful software are available for making commercial quality production and there are free, limitless, video tutorials on YouTube and they teach you a lot more easily and on-point.
Make up your mind, if its music then you'll enter a different room, a sound studio, where you'll come across different dynamics with different names and settings and workings and you enter a whole different room for videos, usually postproduction studios or just simple indie production houses, there are various other dynamics, different names for parameters and basically the work flow also being very different than audio editing.
The first step is to explore, download and install a video editing and an audio editing software and then work on both, and see which one suits your taste and style.
