For applying in St. Xavier's College, Kolkata to do B.A. in Film, you must have 60% in aggregate and a minimum of 45% in each subject and you are selected on the basis of your basis marks obtained in 10+2 examination followed by interview.Usually, the cut-offs are near about 90-92%

There isn't any loophole in entering into acting field. But you should first of all mentally prepare yourself that you can stick to the plan and also you should have patience because it's not like other things where you can easily got successful. Also consider the fact that thousands of people compete with each other for just single role, so, must have to extra talented for pursuing your dream.

NIFT entrance examination is Institutional based examination which will only help you to get into NIFT whereas UCEED is a common Entrance Examination which is accepted by many design colleges and universities. So if you plan to get into only NIFT then you do have to give NIFT Entrance Exam but if you plan to apply in many universities then UCEED is a better option as you'll have many university choices and you can get admission on the basis of UCEED score.
