For cinematography, numerous international students enrolled at the New York Film Academy (NYFA) opt to engage the services of experienced Directors of Photography (DPs) based in the Los Angeles market to shoot their thesis projects. This collaboration has been facilitated by the author of this statement on multiple occasions, fueled by the intrigue surrounding such partnerships.
The New York Film Academy Cinematography course is good. However, the American Film Institute's cinematography fellowship programme is said to offer a more comprehensive and rigorous learning experience than most other schools.

According to the students of NYFA, the acting course is intense and quite challenging. But the best part is the teachers are motivating, and extremely helpful. The staff expects their students to be very professional and they will treat you like a professional actor not like a student, which is a good thing. One disadvantage as an international student has to go through is that US citizen gets an unfair advantage of giving audition for paid gigs and get paid, but in case an international student gets selected in an audition, it's a different ballgame.
