Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Film, TV and Animation Studies (BVBFTS) offers Diploma programs in film, television, and radio. The admission to all the UG and PG programs is based on a candidate's aptitude for the media industry and their performance in the admission test and Personal Interview (PI) round conducted by the department. The highest package offered for marketing is 8.76 LPA, for HR it's 5.25 LPA, and for finance it's 4.20 LPA.

- a passion for film making;
- a distinct and individual voice;
- 2:2 or a second class degree or above in a humanities subject (film, media studies, languages, history, English, etc.) or in any other subject relating to the art and craft of film making
- Consideration is also given to non-standard entrants with relevant personal and work experience who can demonstrate the interest, commitment, and ability required to make their own films
