IIMC released the first merit list for PG Diploma Course in Journalism for Marathi, Malayalam, Odia and Urdu courses. The candidates, whose names are there on the merit list, were required to complete the admission formalities including depositing the application fee. After the cut-off date, no admission will be granted and if required the second merit list will be released by the IIMC. The candidate merit list is based on the scores of students in the IIMC entrance test conducted by the institute. Any vacant seats available after the first merit list will be filled as per the rank list.

IIMC released the first merit list for the Language Journalism courses. With the merit list released, candidates selected for the further admission procedure need to complete the admission formalities within the time period provided by depositing the course fee of Rs 32,000 in the online mode through the payment gateway available on the official website. Placements: IIMC is one of the premier institutions for journalism. The placements are good for my senior batch. Since for the initial stages of journalism, they don't pay much, the average salary package offered was around 3 LPA to 4 LPA. The highest salary package went up to 11 LPA to 12 LPA for advertising and public relations department. Placements: In our course, there were around 50 seats. It was quite hard for me to crack 3 rounds and get into IIMC. Due to corona, we did not receive a good placement drive, but there were certain media houses, where some of us got placed. Even after final results, our college is still ensuring placements for students. If you are an IIMC student, then you can have the best experience in nearby JNU, just a gate away. Placements: About 30% of our classmates got selected in various news channels, websites, etc. The highest salary offered was Rs. 30,000 per month, and the average salary offered was Rs. 20,000 per month. IIMC especially IIMC, Delhi gives good exposure and a place where you can grow & learn.

Placements: Till 2019, majority of students got placement from the campus. As far as 2020 is concerned due to the corona pandemic the placements are going on while offline placements will be there once the situation improves. It will be interesting to know as to how the placements have gone as till now we have got only negative responses.

One of the best college in India for bad communication.

Placements: As it is one of the best Mass communication colleges in India, one should never think of placements. Being a student of IIMC is a matter of proud in itself. As talk of placements, it is very good, and almost all the students got placed in my senior batch. The placements process is going on for my batch, and 60% of students got placed.
