For admission to B.Sc. Food Technology in Andhra Pradesh, the selection process is based on the candidate's performance in Andhra Pradesh EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test) and also should have scored good marks in 12th . The test is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada.

To be eligible to pursue a B.Tech. in Food Technology at MIT ADT Pune - Art Design & Technology University, a candidate must have obtained at least 45% of the attainable points on their 12th grade exam or any other qualifying exam from the scientific stream. Although the cutoff scores change from year to year, I suggest that in order to be guaranteed admission, a student should have at least 80% overall in 12th grade.

ITM University, Gwalior does not offer a B.Tech. programme in Food Technology, it means that the university does not provide a specific Bachelor of Technology degree in that field.
Food Technology is a specialised discipline that focuses on the application of Science and engineering principles to the production, processing, preservation, packaging, and distribution of food. However, universities may offer other related programs such as B.Tech. in Food Engineering, Food Science and Technology, or similar fields that encompass aspects of food technology.

More than 60 percentile or 75 percent marks are necessary for Bachelor of Technology in Food Technology at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow. But this criteria goes on changing every upcoming year. Also, students must have passed class 12 pass in Science (PCM) stream with minimum 50 percent aggregate (45 percent for SC/ST/PwD).
