Forensic Medicine Science course is typically offered as an MD (Doctor of Medicine) course in India. The MD in Forensic Medicine focuses on applying medical knowledge to legal investigations, including autopsy procedures, crime scene analysis, and determining causes of death.

Unlike MS courses, which focus on surgical practices, MD programs are more theory-based and research-oriented, making MD in Forensic Medicine the appropriate qualification for those aiming to become forensic doctors or medico-legal experts.
