M.Sc Forensic Science programme is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in B.Sc. (Forensic Science or Biology or Physics or Chemistry or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Biotechnology or MLT) or B.Pharma. Or MBBS or BDS or BHMS or B.A. MS or equivalent. M.A. (Psychology) programme the eligibility criteria is Pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor's Degree (any discipline) or equivalent. Biology (Zoology or Botany or Genetics or Biotechnology or Biochemistry or Physical Anthropology) with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University.
Or
B.Sc of minimum 3 years duration with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University. Also, the candidate must have studied from at least 1st year (2 semesters) of the 3 years degree course any 2 subjects out of (1) Physics, 2) Mathematics or Statistics 3) Chemistry 4) Biology (Zoology or Botany or Genetics or Biochemistry or Biotechnology or Physical Anthropology)

Admission Criteria: Admission shall be on the basis of the merit of the written test / CET-119.

Puducherry University does not offer M.Sc. Forensic Science and Criminology (One year duration course). However University offers P. G. Diploma in Criminology and Forensic Science (One year duration course). The course related details are given below. Total intake: 20
Eligibility criteria : Any Degree with 50% Marks in Under Graduation under 10+2+3 system or equivalent.
SELECTION CRITERIA: The Admission to this PG Diploma in Criminology & Forensic Science is done through an Admission Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The Admission procedure varies based on uniform norms for all PG Diploma in Criminology & Forensic Science Diplomas implemented by University from time to time.
