Hi Vasanth!
It is up to you. Madras University is a reputed university and I don't see any reason why you shouldn't pursue B.Com from there.

Honors is an upgraded version of B.Com and every upgraded version is always better than the previous one. Also there is a beneficial factor related to it. That's when you go for MBA as your post-graduation degree at the time of admission process you will be given more preference over the other ones. Not to mention, it is a fact that same trend follows when you sit for campus placements or any kind of placement. So it's always preferable to go for hons rather than B.Com if you have an option because in some way or another it will help you at some stage in your life.

Now-a-days, a lot of banking exams are conducted by various institutions. You can go for Bank PO or IBPS exams and with work experience, you can also get the post of a bank manager.
