In 2013 expert committee formed by UGC had recommended to allow the students to simultaneously study two degrees. But VCs of major universities did not support it therefore as of now earlier policy is applicable. As per current UGC guidelines simultaneously study of two-degree courses is not allowed.

Yes, there is a difference in the accreditation of college or university. In distance university in affiliated by DEC, Distance Education Council and regular courses are affiliated with UGC. Affiliation with UGC is more valuable. So do a regular B.A. And then prepare of IAS.

Hello Abhishek, It's a good query. Why distance education? Why normal college? Normally speaking, distance education was developed for students who could not attend classes. Meaning they were working or in a place that had no college. If you are not working and has access to college, I would recommend normal college for you.

Pursuing two regular degree together is not valid. However one degree through regular mode and other through distance mode are valid. So you can claim the benefits of both the degree for employment purpose.
