It is definitely possible for a commerce student to pursue game designing.It depends on your creativity how good you can be at this.
If you are creative enough then this is the right field for you.
.You will be provided with the diploma course as these type of courses will get you job ready in a few months and are also cost effective.
Only your work is what that will be taken into the consideration during the placement.So,i recommend you to visit a good animation institution so that you can make a bright future ahead.

Dear Mr.Dubey, If you are extremely talented do commence your Career with domestic Companies. You may target local Gaming Companies in your City & then aspire for National Level companies like Gameshastra, Dhruva Interactive etc to begin your career.
WIth exposure, you could surely get through UBISOFT or any such top-notch Company, provided you have talent, Skills coupled with immense passion to excel.

Visual effects (commonly shortened to Visual F/X or VFX) involve the integration of live-action footage and generated imagery to create environments which look realistic, but would be dangerous, costly, or simply impossible to capture on film.
For instance, a movie that shows the hero jumping off the ground and flying into the air, is created using VFX. Almost every single movie these days uses VFX. Similarly in game design, there are certain set of backgrounds, or stunts performed by the character that maybe beyond reality, hence the use of VFX.
