I could tell you to search the youtube for 'best animation faculty' or 'best animation institute'. However these are only some of the methods of shortlisting. There is no such authentic one list of institutes that i can give you. All institute branches have same curriculum, like all states in India follow the same constitution. By same comparison all state progress differently and after a certain time the gap becomes huge. You could do well to create a list of places you may want to learn at, whether they are in your city or not. Then go to their websites and research about them, and even call them and talk to them. Yes you could do it for sure. Industrial Design Centre at IIT, Powai offers PG in creative segment of Animation & Design. Even NID offers the same. Admission to both programs are through entrance. If you are creative, do consider the option.

Game design is an application of Digital Media and Animation segment. You may learn pre production with sketching, graphic design etc ,production using 2d-3d Animation & post production using Editing & vfx. You may opt to learn these skills from any leading Animation School.
