No, in fact a Candidate should note that if he or she is not sure about an answer to a question, they should surely try to avoid that question since there is a negative marking in the GATE examination. It is not mandatory to solve all the 65 questions and one must be totally sure while answering a question and not rely on the luck of guessing.

Yes, IISc Bangalore, the organizing institute of GATE 2024 has introduced a new subject - Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DA). The syllabus for GATE 2024 DA paper can be downloaded from the website. Last year, Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering (combined) and Geomatics Engineering were added as the new subjects. No, as per information brochure there is no change in GATE 2026 syllabus. This year, IIT Guwahati is conducting body for GATE 2026. The exam dates are February 7, 8, 14, and 15. Branch-wise exam dates have been announced.
