For genetic engineering, you would need to give engineering entrance examinations. All the major IITs such as IIT Bombay, IIT Madras and IIT Kharagpur offer courses in genetic engineering. For this, you would need to appear in JEE examination.

Biotechnology is one such field that is closely related to Genetic Engineering. So, if you are unable to go for Genetic Engineering course, you may go for B Sc in Biotechnology or BE/B Tech in Biotechnology. After that, you may choose to specialize in Genetics!

You can definitely pursue genetic engineering after B.Sc in CBZ if you're referring to B.Tech in genetic engineering as it would require class 12th from PCM for the eligibility criteria which I am assuming you to have it. For Masters in the same, you'll have to consult the institutes you're wishing to study it from.
