The job opportunities that I have after a B.A from the GSA are as follows. 

  1. Art and Culture Sector- Curators, exhibition designers and educational coordinators in museums.
  2. Cultural Heritage- Management of heritage and cultural policies.
  3. Creative Industries- Designers.
  4. Media and Communication- Marketing, public relations and content creation for various media platforms.
  5. Graduates can also establish their practices as artists or designers offering services such as illustration, photography or consultancy.

The course helps the students develop various skills like creative problem solving, critical thinking and communication.

Yes, Glasgow School of Art offers online courses but it is not as extensive as compared to the other schools. There are two online course offerings such as:-

  1. Study Abroad Programs: Study abroad students can take courses in online components and hybrid formats.
  2. Continuing Education:  Online short courses or workshops, for both beginners and those with more experience.

An average Indian student can join the Glasgow School of Art for the following reasons:-

  • Students who have graduated with a 4 year Bachelors degree can be considered for a Masters degree students must have a minimum 2.5 which amounts to a good B grade or an average of 70% or above also 70 percent graduation percentage is required.
  • 3 year degree is accepted.
  • An IELTS score of 6.5 out of 9 is required.

Yes, it is quite hard to get into the Glasgow School of Art. Out of every 100 students enrolling there only 11 students get admitted which shows that its acceptance rate is quite low.

The expense of living at Glasgow School of Art is as follows -

  1. Scottish Students: £1820 per year.
  2. Rest of the UK Students: £9250 per year.
  3. UG Programs for International Students: £23500 per year.
  4. One year Taught PG Program for International students: £25000.
  5. Two-year Taught PG Program: £25000 per year.
  6. Research Degrees: £20350 per year.

The other costs are accommodation costs amounting to £122 to £235 per week and the estimated annual cost is between £6344 and £12220.
