GMAT is generally and most widely used for admissions into MBA programs abroad. It is also taken to study MS Management. So mostly, it is for management programs.

If you want to do E-MBA from abroad then you must have around 8-10 years work experience. Just see that you meet the requirements. You can do normal MBA if you have 2-3 years of experience. Regarding specialisation, it has to be your choice but popularly people from IT background either choose general management or even finance and marketing. Depends on your career goals mainly, remember you have to write the MBA essay where you have to mention why you are doing the course. So, know what you want and then decide.
