Yes, whatever you want to prepare for, like IAS IPS or IFS, the system of exam is same. You have to appear for the exam called the Civil Services Examination or nowadays it is called CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test). So if you want to appear for IAS IPS or IFS that means you have to appear for CSAT exam. This exam is conducted by a Board or Commission that is UPSC (Union Public Service Commission), So frequently it is called as UPSC exam also. The exam is divided in 3 parts:
1. Civil Services Preliminary Examination
2. Civil Services Main Examination
3. Personal Interview (With Board Members).
