It's very nice to read about setting aims in life so early. Congratulations for this. For becoming IPS, one needs to clear civil service exam. For this eligibility is graduation in any subject. Hence I would advise you to choose a subject that you like most. This will help you in preparing for civil service exam later. Presently work hard and study to learn the subject and not to obtain higher marks.

Entrance Test
Shortlisted candidates will be called for the Tolani Maritime Institute of Scholastic Aptitude Test (TMISAT) based on marks obtained in 10+2 (PCM marks) and Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMUCET) rank.
Personal Interview
Shortlisted candidates are called for personal interview based on marks obtained in IMUCET, the panel also looks for any extracurricular achievements of the candidate.
If applications received between 26 April and 31 May 2018 then candidates do not have to appear for the personal interview.

Before applying for this post it is really necessary to check the eligibility criteria for this examination. A candidate must be 21-30 years of age while applying for Bank PO exam. Age relaxation of 5 years is given to candidates belonging to SC and ST. the candidates belonging to OBC categories are given an age relaxation of 3 years.
