It's not all bout vacancies if you want to work in ISRO then, first of all, you should clear JEE Advanced with good grades and then you have to appear for SET (scientist entrance test). If you qualify that then you will be interviewed. After qualifying this session, you'll get the post of a junior scientist in a particular engineering field which you have opted for.

According to me, you should begin with your preparations from the 3rd year. Till then studies are easier comparatively. You'll be able to score well enough for any competitive exams till 2nd year if you concentrate on B.Com. Only till then.
Rest you know yourself better. If you feel like you are capable enough to manage the additional coaching other than your current study matter, then go ahead.

I will suggest that you should do what you think is good, but in case you choose MBA then do it from some reputed college, not from any average college. Else, it is better that before you join an MBA college, gain some work experience and then go for MBA. It will help you in getting really good placement.

If you are in the first year then this is not the correct time to start the preparation, you should start your preparations from the second-year by studying subjects in which you have a keen interest in civil exams but at the same time focus on engineering as well. Now, the third year increases study hours of civil exams but remember without the completion of engineering degree you are not eligible for civil exams. In the fourth year try to join the evening classes for civil exams because in the fourth year subjects are not very difficult.

You should opt for UG in arts stream. It will help you with the preparation of IAS exam.

You can appear for NDA after completing class 12th. You can join army through IMA and OTA after completing UG.

You can appear for UPSC or any state level administrative examination so that you can work in the administrative department. After your graduation, you can take these exams.
