The Johns Hopkins University provides test options for GRE or GMAT scores. However, students must submit these scores to make a positive impression on their resume. They must aim to score high or above the minimum score obtained by the previous students. Along with that students must submit official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions, a GPA of 3 on a 4 scale, a resume, SOP, and English language requirements for graduate applications.

The ETS does not release the GRE cut-off after every exam. The GRE score required for admission varies depending on the university and programme you're applying to. It is natural that the top universities in the world tend to have higher GRE exam score requirements than less competitive programs. So, check the university's website for this.

GRE is required for postgraduate programs such as Ph.D. The minimum score required at SMU in GRE is 160 on the scale of 600 and 3.5 on the GRE analytic test with a minimum GPA of 3.5. There is no set expectation for the Ph.D programs, although the university demands a quantitative test. If look at the previous year's data, most applicants have scored an average verbal GPRE of 164 on the scale of 670, an analytic score of 4.5 with an undergraduate GPA of 3.7.
