Each wrong answer on the GUJCET paper results in a one-fourth mark deduction in marking. Each correct question carries one mark. Marks are not deducted for unattempted questions. Entire marks will be given to all candidates for any question in which none of the answers are determined to be accurate, the question is determined to be correct, or it is discarded, regardless of whether the candidate attempted the question or not.

There are 120 questions overall from all three subjects on the GUJCET exam. Each subject area in the test has forty questions: maths, chemistry, and physics. There will be 120 questions total, all of them are multiple choice. In three hours, students must finish all 120 questions.

According to the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board's (GSEB) GUJCET pattern, applicants in the general category must receive at least 54 marks to be eligible to participate in GUJCET participating institutes by 2023, while applicants in the reserved category must receive at least 48 marks to pass. GUJCET application form 2024 was released on Jan 2 in online mode. The last date to apply was Jan 31. For the 2024-25 admission year, the GUJCET process is in the final stages as the registrations are ongoing for counselling. Students can register for GUJCET counselling till May 28.
